Hi- I'm Forrest Parker, South Carolina Chef Ambassador & Founder / Chief Culinary Evangelist of Undiscovered Charleston. I love Charleston. I love our history and food culture. Mostly, I love sharing all this with our visitors and guests.
One of my grandfathers was a grocer and the other managed West Virginia's fabled Greenbrier. I grew up in food, and was visiting farmer's markets before it was cool. I fell in love with Charleston as a student at the College of Charleston, and became a tour guide driving horse drawn carriages. I succumbed to the kitchen as I worked my way through school.
I've been doing this for 25 years- in intimate trattorias, James Beard winning restaurants, casino kitchens and as Executive Chef at Nashville, Tennessee's Opryland. Finally, in 2011, I returned to my roots here in South Carolina.

Let me walk you through some of the streets less traveled, afford you views unseen, and let you taste the history and terroir that makes Charleston the dining destination that it's become.
